Your 6-minute Sunday report in 1315 words.
the upcoming meeting between Pashinyan and Aliyev
Will be on January 11th, as mentioned earlier. Pashinyan will also hold a conversation with Putin.
The topic will be economic issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan, specifically about the lifting of trade blockade and the establishment of Armenia-Russia, Armenia-Iran, and even Armenia-Armenia cargo routes via Nakhijevan (southern Armenia is cut off by mountains and it would be easier to travel from north to south via Nakhijevan).
PM's office reminded that "there is no such thing called Meghri Corridor in the November 9 trilateral statement."
Armenian side believes that the trade topic can be properly discussed after addressing the POWs and missing soldiers.
"No documents related to Artsakh or lands will be signed. The three sides will try to agree on economic issues and POWs; a paper with a trilateral statement could be signed."
Kremlin says they will also discuss the progress regarding the implementation of the November 9th trilateral statement.
Foreign Ministry meets the opposition leaders
Former regime's PM candidate Vazgen Manukyan said he wanted to meet the Foreign Ministry and the NSS to discuss a few things before Pashinyan's and NSS's upcoming meeting in Moscow.
Vazgen Manukyan met Foreign Minister Ayvazyan on Saturday. He was also supposed to meet NSS chief Abazyan and Army chief of staff Onik, but that meeting did not take place, which left Manukyan "suspicious and concerned."
Manukyan says he is satisfied with some of the answers given by the Foreign Ministry, while other questions were addressed partially. Manukyan said any decision made by Pashinyan on January 11th must be in the best interest of Armenia, otherwise, it will be overruled by future administrations.
other political meetings
France's Macron and Russia's Putin held a conversation about the upcoming meeting between Pashinyan and Aliyev.
LHK party leadership visited Artsakh and met the Security Council
rumors & rebuttals: NSS chief meets Azeri counterpart
Context: Armenia and Azerbaijan are currently installing new border positions on Syunik borders, and organizing POW and body swap operations. Syunik villages Vorotan and Shurnukh, which were partially located on the internationally-recognized Azeri lands, became a subject of dispute. 20 houses went under Azeri control.
The heads of Armenian and Azeri NSS decided to meet and discuss POW and body-search related topics. They picked Shurnukh/Vorotan as the meeting location.
Armenian NSS: the rumors about another meeting on Tavush (north) borders on Sunday are false. A similar meeting took place a few days ago on the Nakhijevan border. Another meeting happened today (Saturday) on Syunik borders. We discussed POWs and search operations.
The telegram channel "Mediaport" and others intentionally spread misinformation about the agenda of the meetings, claiming that certain border [demarcation] issues were being discussed. The head of NSS can only negotiate around topics that he is legally authorized to. Do not fall for the misinformation.
rumors & rebuttals: Minister sues Serj's son-in-law Mishik over "defamation"
Infrastructure Minister Papikyan's office said: Serj's son-in-law Mikael Minasyan published a video in which he claimed that Minister Papikyan has a felony case against him for allegedly taking ֏450 million from an unknown "deal". The Minister will sue Minasyan for the false report. The prosecutor's office has already denied the rumor about there being a felony case against the Minister.

woman taken captive after visiting Shushi to pick up her stuff
After the signing of the November 9th trilateral statement, a Lebanese-Armenian woman thought it would be safe for her to visit Shushi and Lachin to take some items from her home. She was captured by Azeris in Shushi.
Her associate was also captured. He is confirmed to be alive, but there is no news about the woman. The Diaspora Chairman Sinanyan says the European Court for Human Rights is investigating the incident.
The Foreign Ministry criticized Azerbaijan for hindering the POW swap process and launching bogus criminal cases against Armenian soldiers who are being held captive. The Ministry also accused Azerbaijan of committing international war crimes during the 44-day war.
The search crews have discovered the bodies of 3 soldiers in the Jabrayil region, bringing the total discoveries since the ceasefire to 1197.
