FIP media has released a report accusing QP MP Alen Simonyan (anti-gambling bill author) of violating state official ethics rules by not properly disclosing his wealth which the officials are required to do. The outlet says that it could have been done to possibly hide an illegal enrichment of $10,000.
MP Simonyan denied the report, calling it defamatory. Simonyan says FIP got its papers from a place that doesn't have all the disclosed documents. Says he and his wife disclosed the wealth in the documents. He gave an explanation as to how he earned the $10,000, something about a car sale and its registration timeline. Simonyan accused FIP's owner Daniel Ionesyan of personally targeting him, and for attempting to bait Simonyan to sue FIP for defamation so FIP can ask for grant money from various organizations by claiming FIP is being pressured by the government.
A Yerevan park that was being renovated and recreated for 4 years has opened after a $15 million investment from Armenian-Russian Tashir Group company, with the help of Profil-Al tree plantingcompany. 10,000 green units out of which 550 are trees, colorful fountains.
