The new management of a taxpayer-funded Nubarashen psychiatric clinic says there are multiple criminal cases involving the previous administration. The building's water pipes were illegally attached to the neighboring businesses, which used excessive amounts of water at the expense of the taxpayer. One of the businesses has agreed to repay the damages. Dozens of millions in damages was done. Yerevan will have a new “smart” park as a gift from Badalyan Foundation for city’s 2800th anniversary. Parliament is discussing Justice Ministry’s proposal to criminalize all charity during the election season by politicians. Voters won’t be allowed to accept money or any other physical or intangible gifts. Voters will have to enter voting booths alone. TAXES ARE TOO DAMN HIGH! PM Pashinyan says the government is debating two options to lower the income taxes. Currently, for under 150k earners it’s 23%, under 2mln it’s 28%, over 2mln it’s 36%. The first proposal is to use two tax brackets instead of three: under 250k tax 20%, over 250k tax 25%. Second proposal is to make it a flat 23% rate. The reasons are to reduce the tax avoidance during salary distributions and few other things.
