Iranian Company To Build A 50-Storied Complex In The Center Of Yerevan

A 50-storied complex will shortly be built in the center of Yerevan - near Moskva Cinema and Golden Tulip Hotel, reports the Hayakakan Zhamanak newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the Municipality of Yerevan and a number of design companies are discussing this project on a confidential basis.

The complex will be built by a semi-governmental Iranian company and will be called Persian Tower. Some of the stories will be used for commerce, the others - as flats and a hotel.

The source says that the Iranians are already taking specific steps to interest Armenian officials.

Chief Architect of Yerevan Narek Sargsyan has said that he is aware of the project but has refrained from any comments.
