KJAV VILLAGE (MOKS DISTRICT). Kjav Monastery from the south-west and west; its interior towards the east (photo Dr. A. Hakhnazarian, 1974). Before its total destruction in the 1980s, this monument had only a single visitor, namely Dr. A. Hakhnazarian. Nobody else was ever able to see it so that we owe the unique photos showing the monastery as standing to A. Hakhnazarian.
