Turkish Historical Society

The Turkish Historical Society is a work of Atatürk. The institution, which was found under the direction of Atatürk by 16 members in 15 April 1935 under the name of “Society for the Study of Turkish History”, acquired its new name in 1935. The institution publishes XXXI series of studies related to history of Turks and Turkey and the service of Turks to civilization. It’s aim is to present and spread these results. Yusuf Halaçoğlu continues his service as the president of the Society.
