Tehran

Although scattered throughout the city the Armenians in Tehran are traditionally more concentrated in the Vanak, Hafte Tir, Majidieh, Bahar, Villa, Zarkesh, Heshmatieh and Narmak quarters. The Ararat Sport Complex of Tehran is also situated in Vanak.

The Armenian Christian community attends mass at Sarkis Cathedral (15) on Karim Khane Zand Street. The 1960s cathedral is no Notre Dame, but worshippers are welcome on Sundays.
