Guy de Maupassant
|Guy de Maupassant|
William Saroyan writes in a letter to Guy de Maupassant from his book Letters from 74 rue Taitbout, that while taking a typing class at the age of 11 or 12, he came across Guy de Maupassant's story entitled The Bell, and that is when he knew he had to be a writer, and that he thanks Guy every year.
