Academician Sen Arevshatyan resigned today from the post of director of Matenadaran, a museum of ancient manuscripts. The ministry of education and science awarded the academician with a golden memorial medal.

Levon Mkrtchyan, minister of education and science, recalled that Arevshatyan enriched the museum with 1000 manuscripts in the course of 25 years in office. The minister said Arevshatyan will not direct the museum due to pension age but will be the chairman of the museum governing board.

MATENADARAN DIRECTOR RETIRES
