I never wanted to live in Paris. Fresno, San Francisco and New York were fine for me. But since I came to Paris I have been crazy about it. Why shouldn't I be? I don't know the language. I never know where I am and I can't read a map. Thus, half the time I might still be in Fresno, San Francisco or New York. -William Saroyan ( Sept 30, 1961 Saturday Evening Post)
