Abraham H. Foxman
Abraham H. Foxman is the national director of the Anti-Defamation League. He was noted for his denial on the Armenian Genocide until he reversed that position on August 22, 2007. According to Jay Lindsay of the Associated Press, "Foxman said he consulted with historians and his friend, Holocaust survivor Elie Weisel, after the controversy began and became convinced genocide had occurred."
Initially, Foxman and the ADL continued to state that they still do not support the genocide Congressional resolution calling it "a counterproductive diversion and will not foster reconciliation between Turks and Armenians." However, Foxman announced that this position could possibly change.
