On August of 2018, 10 contractor companies were caught under-delivering products to the military throughout 2009-2017. PM Pashinyan's office says 85% of the stolen 7.68bln funds has been recovered.

The law enforcement bodies have returned the computer and four DVDs they confiscated from "Yerevan.Today" media outlet earlier, as part of the investigation of illegal NSS audio leak case, during which Google information (most likely erroneously) showed that the media outlet could have been related to leakers based on article publishing time-frame. The law enforcement left the other computers in place to allow the organization to continue its work, while the organization complained that the confiscation slowed down their work.

Prosecutors earlier pressed charged against the former chief investigator of March 1st events, who is accused of tampering with evidence and covering up the military involvement. His detention was later turned down by a judge, who thought the case against him can continue unobstructed if he is outside of prison cells. Prosecutors later found new evidences and pressed 2 other charged for abuse of power, and are seeking his arrest warrant again, this time in the Higher Court.

The Higher Court judge who was set to hear the case has recused herself from the trial, because her husband worked as a prosecutor and was close friends with the defendant. The trial has been postponed.

Putin's press secretary Peskov says gas price talks will intensify between the two countries. Deputy PM of Armenia had earlier met GazProm's chief in St. Petersburg

Russian GazProm will revise its gas sales price to its Armenia-based subsidiary company GazProm-Armenia, and increase it from $150 to $165 at the border, after the old contract ends.

The GazProm-Armenia will continue to charge the same ~$285 fee to Armenian consumers. Pashinyan has denied the rumors that the consumer price will remain the same in exchange for increasing the debt to Russia, at least not with the current agreements. This means GazProm-Armenia will most likely reduce its own profit and improve the efficiency by reducing losses for now - something that the Parliamentary Gas Price Investigation Committee has been pushing for several months. Gas prices to Armenia have floated between $60-$200 at the border in the past 15 years.

Towards the end of each year, various country leaders negotiate gas prices with the Russian government for the following years. Worsening economic situation in Russia have led to measures to increase their income from external sources. One other such incident is the latest oil price calculation fiasco with Belarus, which will result in billions of dollars in losses for Minsk.
